An Auckland Council Exhibition Series at Community Art Centres in 2012-2013 featuring emerging curators working with leading, established and emerging artists.

About Archipelago

The Archipelago exhibition series comprises four exhibitions by emerging curators, happening at community art centres across north Auckland between July 2012 and February 2013.

The series is an initiative that takes new contemporary art to the diverse, ‘archipelagic’ group of communities that is north Auckland.

Each exhibition will feature a variety of leading, established and emerging artists. The participating galleries are Lake House Arts Centre (July 2012), Kumeu Arts Centre (September 2012), Estuary Arts Centre (November 2012) and NorthArt (February 2013).

The exhibition series will feature a small publication to be published at the conclusion of the series in February 2013 (ISBN 978-1-927216-20-0)
